How it works
Create a free account and install BCD on your Mac by pasting one command into Terminal.
Click Approve in your browser to connect that Mac to your account.
Add BCD to ChatGPT or Claude as a connector, then ask in plain words.
Try asking
Turn ~/Movies/demo.mov into a 9:16 short: keep the best 20 seconds, add the title "Before and after" at the top, and save it as demo-short.mp4 next to it. Show me frames before you export.
Transcribe the speech in ~/Movies/interview.mp4 and burn the captions into a new copy, interview-captioned.mp4.
Join clip1.mov, clip2.mov and clip3.mov on my Desktop with short crossfades, put music.m4a quietly underneath, and fade out at the end.
Cut the first 10 seconds and the last 5 seconds from ~/Movies/talk.mp4 and export just the audio as talk.m4a.

Cuts and joins clips, reframes to vertical 9:16, adds titles, captions, a logo or music, fades, or exports audio only or a GIF. It runs in the background and never overwrites an existing file unless you ask.
Safe by default
New computers start read-only: the AI can look but can’t change anything. Writing files and running commands only work after you turn them on for that Mac in your dashboard. There are no open ports: the Mac connects out to BCD.
Looking at videos and transcribing works read-only. Saving an edited video needs write permission on that Mac.
Questions
Does my video get uploaded?
No. Editing runs on your Mac and the video file stays there. When the AI checks the result, it sees still frames that pass through BCD’s relay without being stored. Transcription uses Apple speech recognition on the Mac where the language supports it; otherwise Apple processes the audio.
Do I need a paid plan?
No. One Mac is free. New accounts can also try Personal, for up to 3 Macs, free for a month, with no card needed.
